MS International says subsidiary secures further US Navy contract

Mon, 02nd Oct 2023 11:38

(Alliance News) - MS International PLC on Monday said that its subsidiary, MSI-Defence Systems US LLC, has been awarded another contract by the United States Navy.

MS International is a Doncaster, Yorkshire-based defence equipment manufacturer. Shares in the firm were up 8.9% at 795.00 pence each in London on Monday morning.

The contract, worth USD15.8 million, is for the supply of MS International's newly-developed MSI-DS Electro-Optical Sights System.

The Electro-Optical Sight System is a new, fully tried and tested system developed in house by MSI- Defence Systems at its Norwich facility.

Delivery of all equipment is expected no later than May 31, 2025.

MS International said the contract was "further confirmation of [a significant] upward step change" in the company's development. It follows a contract award in September for the procurement of supplies and services to maintain the US Navy Mk38 MOD4 weapon systems.
