LONDON (Alliance News) - Diurnal Group PLC on Thursday said it has appointed Richard Bungay as its new chief financial officer, effective from Monday.
Bungay leaves his role as CFO and chief operating officer at Mereo BioPharma Group PLC, the UK-listed rare and specialty diseases focused biopharmaceutical company. His departure from Mereo was first announced in October.
Mereo confirmed Bungay's departure on Monday and said Richard Jones, who it hired to replace Bungay from Shield Therapeutics PLC back in November, will start his new role on January 30. Bungay had originally been set to leave Mereo in April.
At Diurnal, a hormonal disease-focused drug firm, he will take over from Ian Ardill, who is leaving to "pursue other business opportunities". He will leave Diurnal on Friday.
Diurnal shares were untraded on Thursday, having last traded at 108.00 pence. Mereo shares also were untraded, having last traded at 272.00p.
