LONDON (Alliance News) - Macfarlane Group PLC Chairman Stuart Paterson said Tuesday that the packaging company's 2018 year-to-date group profit is "well ahead" of the comparative year ago period.
In his annual general meeting statement, Peterson also said the board is confident that trading for 2018 will be in line with its expectations.
The company's sales for the period from January to date rose by 11% on a year-on-year basis, with the packaging distribution business recording 12% sales growth.
Macfalane Group shares were trading 2.1% higher at 94.10 pence each.
