Leni Gas & Oil on Wednesday reported that analysis on its GY-665 well at the Goudron site in Trinidad has indicated the presence of a total of 526 feet of net oil pay. Once cementing work on the well has been completed, the Well Services Rig 20 will be prepared for its move to the next well, which is expected to take two or three days to complete. Neil Ritson, the company's Chief Executive, said: "Based on the observed pressures and the extent of the pay we are confident that well GY-665 will have similar production characteristics to the recently completed GY-664 well, which is now flowing naturally to tank at a stable pressure [...] Spudding of the third well is likely within the next few days." The group also said it plans to continue with the programme of 30 new development wells, including five further wells with Well Services Rig 20 and the mobilisation, as soon as practical, of a second rig. After rising strongly on Monday on the back of initial positive results on GY-665, Leni Gas eased 2.27% lower to 3.47p on Wednesday.
