AIM WINNERS & LOSERS: Biome shares sink on revenue warning

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers on AIM in London on Wednesday.

Kefi Gold & Copper PLC, up 10% at 1.06 pence, 12-month range 0.8p-2.5p. Extends gains after rising 6.1% on Tuesday. On Tuesday said it has recommenced site preparations for Tulu Kapi launch following permission from the security authorities. Kefi expects to start mining and commission the plant in late 2023.

Corero Network Security PLC, up 7.4% at 9.92p, 12-month range 7.33p-16.88p. The cybersecurity firm secures number of significant customer orders totalling over USD4 million since the half year in the Hosting Provider market segment. The recent winds include a "multi-million-dollar order" from a major US-based, cloud infrastructure hosting provider, one from a major US-based managed hosting provider that operates in the US and Europe, and an expansion order from an eastern US provider.

Biome Technologies PLC, down 19% at 305p, 12-month range 166.67p-505p. Says revenue for 2021 to be "significantly below" current market expectations and Ebitda loss "only slightly greater" than forecasts. In a trading update, notes global logistics difficulties, which have hampered normal delivery patterns and also led to some customer delays as they manage their own supply chain problems. Also says an expected accelerated of further offtake with a US customer will not occur until next year. "Whilst the issues highlighted above have stretched the group's working capital resources in 2021, the directors believe that actions underway will improve the efficiency of Biome's working capital cycle over time in a continuing process to release cash," the developer of biodegradable natural polymers and radio frequency systems says.
