LONDON (Alliance News) - Sky PLC and Johnston Press PLC Thursday said they have extended their strategic regional advertising partnership following a year long trial, with a new three-year deal.
Under the deal, Johnston Press' advertising sales team will work with Sky's tailored television advertising product Sky AdSmart to deliver regional advertising campaigns.
AdSmart works by tailoring television advertisement breaks based on a households location and profile.
"That Sky has cemented this partnership by agreeing to a new three-year deal is testament to the strength of the relationships we have with small and medium-sized businesses across our regions and the powerful product Sky AdSmart is," said Chief Executive Officer of Johnston Press Ashley Highfield in a statement.
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
Shares in Johnston Press were down 1.8% to 96.00 pence Thursday morning, whilst shares in Sky were up 0.1% at 1,041.00 pence.
