LONDON (Alliance News) - Russian millionaires Alexander and Evgeny Lebedev are set to sell the 'i' newspaper for around GBP24 million, with Johnston Press PLC close to a deal to buy the title, according to a report from the Financial Times, citing people familiar with the discussions.
The Lebedevs, who also own the Evening Standard and the London Live television station, launched the 'i' in 2010 as a spin-off from the Independent newspaper.
The move will trigger speculation as to whether the Lebedevs might be exiting the British media industry.
