(Sharecast News) - Joules' chief executive Colin Porter announced his intention to retire from the British lifestyle brand on Monday, drawing to a close eight years of service.While Porter, who joined Joules back in 2010 and took over as CEO in 2013, informed the group of his decision to stand down before the end of the retailer's 2020 trading year, the exact timing of his exit was "still to be confirmed".However, the AIM-listed firm noted that the notice period Colin had given the board would ensure that it had sufficient time to ensure a smooth transition to his successor.A process to appoint Porter's successor was already underway, Joules said.Of his decision, Porter said: "Since joining Joules in 2010 the company has grown significantly."I can truly say that this is the most special company I have had the pleasure of working at during my career, and that is down to its amazing people and customers. I remain as committed as ever as we continue to focus on delighting our customers and delivering our strategy to further expand the Joules brand."As of 0825 GMT, Joules shares had dipped 0.17% to 287.50p.
