(ShareCast News) - Joules chief executive Colin Porter forked out for £0.25m worth of shares in the wellington boots-to-comfy jumpers retailer after they gave up much of their gains since a solid set of maiden results. Ex-Crombie and House of Fraser executive Porter, who has been at the company since 2010 and oversaw its AIM flotation in May, bought 140,680 shares at 177p.Finance chief Marc Dench also spent £35,000 on a smaller handful of shares at the price of 175.8p.Maiden annual results in September showed a underlying pre-tax profits rose 41% to £7.5m in the 52 weeks ended 29 May, on revenue of £131.3m, up 12.8% from the year before.With Joules' active customer base 33% larger at 824,000 and it now has 97 stores, Porter said: "FY16 was a transformational year in the development and expansion of the Joules brand which included our successful admission to AIM in May."We have delivered strong growth across our Retail and Wholesale channels, significantly increasing profitability by effectively leveraging our operating cost base.
