Dunelm Non-Executive Director Departs To Become Debenhams Finance Boss

Wed, 29th Aug 2018 09:23

LONDON (Alliance News) - Dunelm Group PLC on Wednesday said Non-Executive Director Rachel Osborne has resigned immediately after her appointment as chief financial officer at fashion retailer Debenhams PLC.

The stock was trading 0.1% lower on Wednesday at 532.50 pence per share.

The FTSE 250-listed home furnishings retailer said Debenhams has a competitive overlap with Dunelm.

"We fully understand Rachel's decision to step down, and that her executive career takes priority," said Dunelm Chairman Andy Harrison.

"We wish her well in her new role and thank her for her contribution to Dunelm," Harrison added.

Dunelm said it has already started a search to appoint a new non-executive director.

Debenhams hired Osborne on Wednesday last week to replace outgoing CFO Matt Smith, who will be leaving the company at the end of August.

Meanwhile, Osborne's appointment is effective from September 17. She has previously served as CFO at FTSE 250-listed Domino's Pizza Group and has worked at other retailers such as John Lewis PLC and Kingfisher PLC.
