JD Wetherspoon PLC - Watford, Hertfordshire-based pub chain - Intends to appoint Ben Thorne as non-executive director from December 17 annual general meeting. Thorne is a managing director at WH Ireland Group PLC. While at Kleinwort Benson, he advised Wetherspoon.

Harworth Group PLC - Rotherham, South Yorkshire-based land and property regeneration - Appoints Patrick Bourke as non-executive director, replacing Andrew Cunningham, effective immediately. He is the former finance director of John Laing Group PLC, stepping down in 2019.

Trident Royalties PLC - mining royalty and streaming - Hires Martin Page as chief financial officer, starting Tuesday. Page was CFO of West African producer Toro Gold Ltd, which was bought by Resolute Mining in July of last year.

Mercia Asset Management PLC - "proactive, regionally focused, specialist asset manager" - Hires Diane Seymour-Williams as non-executive director, effective immediately. Seymour-Williams worked at Deutsche Asset Management Group, previously Morgan Grenfell, for over 23 years, serving as chief executive officer for Asia, among other senior roles. Seymour-Williams also is a non-executive director for Standard Life Private Equity Trust PLC.

Challenger Acquisitions Ltd - previously observation wheels, now "focused on securing a new project" - Hires Dag Andresen as director, effective immediately. Andresen was CFO of Swedish energy firm Vattenfall AB and of Denmark's Vestas Wind Systems AS. Previously he worked at Nordea Bank AB.
