Imperial Innovations Takes Part In New Funding For Econic Technologies

LONDON (Alliance News) - Imperial Innovations Group PLC on Wednesday said portfolio company Econic Technologies has completed a GBP5.0 million funding round.

The investment company said it has committed GBP2.5 million to the funding round and its holding in the company following the fundraising will be 53.7%.

Econic is developing catalyst technologies that can react captured carbon dioxide with epoxides to produce polycarbonates.

"Econic Technologies continues to make substantial and exciting progress in commercialising its catalyst technology for incorporation of CO2 into polymers. We are delighted by the traction the company has already gained with large global partners and look forward to this next stage of company growth," said Kelsey Lynn Skinner, director of tech ventures at Imperial Innovations.
