Imagination Technologies Group Share News (IMG)

JO Hambro's purchase of 575,063 shares boosted Ark Therapeutics. The share purchase was last Thursday but it was announced after the close on Friday. The shares were acquired at 12.125p a share and 12.375p a share, which was well above the market price at the time. JO Hambro owns 10.5% of Ark. The drug developer is carrying out a strategic review of its business and is prepared to consider any bids.Ark reported an increase in its loss from £17.6m to £21.2m in 2009. There is still net cash of £20.7m and this should last until the second half of 2011. Shares in Imagination Technologies continue to fall even though its interim management statement last week was relatively positive. The chip designer said that there was a marked increase in interest in licensing prospects. However, licensing revenues in 2009-10 are expected to decline. Royalty volumes are growing.
