International Greetings does well at Christmas

People buying wrapping paper and gift bags helped packaging and stationery group International Greetings to celebrate a good Christmas.The company said third-quarter results had matched expectations after it did well in festive trading.It said gift bag sales were increasing and it was boosting bag production in its factory in China this spring.Debt had fallen to lower-than-expected levels despite increases in manufacturing investment in China, Wales and the US.Chief Executive Paul Fineman said: "Importantly, our strong operational performance during the Christmas trading period also reflects our ability to generate cash and de-leverage our business."Shares rose 3.36% to 77p at 08:25 in London.PW
