Hoskins out, John Worth in as Hastings finance chief

(Sharecast News) - Hastings Group announced on Friday that Richard Hoskins, who had been with the business since April 2015, was retiring from his position as group chief financial officer.The FTSE 250 company said John Worth, currently group CFO at MS Amlin, would replace Hoskins, and was expected to join the board within the "next few months".It said he would work with Hoskins to ensure orderly succession and a smooth handover.Worth is a Chartered Accountant with "extensive experience" in financial services, the board explained, gained through senior roles in finance, information technology, operations and risk.The board said he had worked for "a number" of large financial services organisations in banking and insurance, as well as in professional services firms.Worth was also a non-executive Director for the NSPCC, and within the past five years, had served with Co-operative Bank and Hiscox."I am delighted to welcome John to Hastings and look forward to working with him as we continue our profitable growth trajectory," said Hastings group chief executive officer Toby van der Meer."I would also like to thank Richard and wish him well for the future."Gary Hoffman, chair of Hastings, added that Hoskins had played a "significant role", guiding the group through its IPO in October 2015."In the past four years [he] has helped it deliver sustained profitable growth underpinned by disciplined cost management," Hoffman said."I would like to thank him for his contribution."
