LONDON, Jan 12 (IFR) - Mizuho Financial Group said it hadhired former HSBC banker Borja Rivas to head its derivativesrisk solutions business for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Mizuho International said on Thursday Rivas will beresponsible for leading the development of its derivatives risksolutions offering in its fixed income business. It said hereplaces Nessan O'Carroll, who has been transferred to thebank's Tokyo office.
Rivas is based in London and reports to Yasuhiro Shibata,Mizuho's deputy CEO, who is also based in London.
Rivas had been at HSBC since 2015, as head of its capitalfinancing Iberia unit. Before joining HSBC, Rivas spent eightyears at UBS as head of debt capital markets and derivatives forIberia and eight years at JP Morgan. (Reporting by Burhan Khadbai)
