FTSE 100 movers: BAE drops on broker notes

Defence group BAE Systems was also a heavy faller, pulling back after surging yesterday on discussions with aerospace giant EADS regarding a "possible combination" of the businesses. Investec, Societe Generale and Oriel Securities cut their recommendations for the stock this morning.Hot on its heels was High Street retailer Next, which tanked after the firm warned that the second half has got off to a poor start: "Disappointing sales in an unusual August and early September reinforce the wisdom of [our] conservative approach." The firm had experienced a decent first half in which revenues rose 4.8% and profits increased 10.2%. Meanwhile, pharmaceuticals giant GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) has acquired five million newly-issued shares in Response Genetics, taking its stake in the company to around 15.2 per cent.British telecoms giant BT was extending yesterday's gains after sealing a "ground-breaking" £152m deal on afternoon for a range of exclusive live rights for Premiership Rugby, dealing a massive blow to current broadcaster BSkyB. IN BRIEF: GSK's Jemperli approved in UK for endometrial cancer

GSK PLC - London-based pharmaceutical company - On Monday, announces that the UK Medicines & Health Products Regulatory Agency has authorised a new indication for Jemperli, also known as dostarlimab. The drug is used as a treatment for some types of endometrial cancer and an be used to treat patients that have a tumour abnormality called mismatch repair deficient/microsatellite instability-high when the cancer is at an advanced stage when first diagnosed or has returned after previous treatment. It is now authorised to be used together with chemotherapy to slow the progression of these cancers. GSK says it is the first medicine licensed as first line treatment for primary advanced or recurrent endometrial cancer.
