LONDON (Alliance News) - Budget African airline fastjet PLC on Tuesday said it started operating its first flights from Kenya on Monday.
The daily flights will operate from Dar es Salaam and Kilimanjaro in Tanzania into Nairobi airport in Kenya.
"These inaugural flights are an important milestone in fastjet's development and mark a significant achievement for the company. We have been working towards the launch of these routes for some time and are excited to be bringing our proven low-cost model to a new destination," said Fastjet Chief Executive Ed Winter.
Shares in Fastjet were up 3.1% to 69.30 pence.
