EasyGroup Calls For Meeting To Oust Fastjet Executive Chairman
LONDON (Alliance News) - Low-cost airline fastjet PLC said Friday it had received a requestion from shareholder easyGroup Holdings Ltd seeking to oust Executive Chairman Colin Child.
easyGroup, owned by billionaire investor Stelios Haji-Ioannou, holds a near 13% stake in fastjet.
Fastjet said it will make a further announcement regarding the proposed general meeting in due course.
Earlier this year, easyGroup sent a letter to fastjet alleging it had breached the brand licence agreement between the two, something fastjet denies.
Shares in fastjet were down 0.4% at 28.50 pence Friday afternoon.
