FAIRFX Group Hopes To Benefit From Marketing Push

LONDON (Alliance News) - FAIRFX Group PLC Thursday said its marketing strategy is taking shape, with television advertising, a mobile-friendly website, and a version of its app for Apple Watch.

The travel money and foreign exchange financial technology company has launched an advert on channels in the UK, including ITV, Channel 4 and Sky, as it attempts to raise awareness of its brand and attract customers.

The idea behind updating its website to make it work better on mobile phones was to encourage the people directed to the site from the advertising campaign to become customers.

In addition, the new versions of its app, which run both on Apple's iOS mobile operating system and the Android operating system developed by Google, as well as the version for the Apple Watch.

"We've been working extremely hard to bring all these initiatives together in time for the beginning of the summer and to once again prove our leadership in the prepaid currency card marketplace," Chief Executive Ian Strafford-Taylor said in a statement.

"We're proud to be able to offer products, a website and mobile apps that deliver value and make it easy for our customers to transact, save money and manage their holiday spending," the CEO said.

FAIRFX shares were up 1.5% at 38.08 pence on Thursday morning.
