LONDON (Alliance News) - Independent video game developer Frontier Developments PLC said Wednesday it is developing a game called 'Tales from Deep Space' for Amazon.com Inc's Kindle Fire tablet.
Frontier originally announced a development agreement in February, and confirmed Wednesday that this agreement is with Amazon Game Studios. It said it will develop the game using its Cobra technology.
The game will focus on a travelling salesman and his luggage drone escaping a space station, Big Moon, which it is locked down. It will feature one player and two player co-operative modes.
"Tales from Deep Space is new IP that was created at Frontier as part of our Game of the Week incubation process. We are delighted to be able to work closely on it with a highly successful company like Amazon as publishing partner," said Chief Creative Officer Jonny Watts in a statement.
Shares in Frontier Developments are trading up 2.0% at 261.00 pence Wednesday morning.
