DIRECTOR DEALINGS SUMMARY: Frontier Developments Founder Sells 750,000

Thu, 26th Nov 2015 17:11

LONDON (Alliance News) - The following is a summary of director dealings reported in London on Thursday and late on Wednesday.
----------
Frontier Developments said Chief Executive David Braben sold shares for GBP1.8 million thanks to demand from institutional investors on Wednesday. Braben, who founded the company in 1994, sold 750,000 shares at 240.00 pence each "to meet institutional demand". The chief executive still owns 50.3% of the video game developer. Shares in Frontier Developments closed up 0.7% at 246.75p Thursday.
----------
Rolls-Royce Holdings said Non-Executive Director Kevin Smith bought his first shares in the company on Wednesday. Smith, who joined the board this month, is the former chief executive of Rolls-Royce's blue-chip engineering rival GKN.

Smith bought 20,000 shares in the company at 603.00 pence per share, the day after the jet engine maker outlined its plans to cut its cost base and simplify its operations following a torrid period of profit warnings caused by multiple market headwinds.

The group has been hit hard in the past 18 months, first by squeezed defence budgets, then by orders shrinking for its oil and gas-facing marine business and then by margin weakness in its aerospace business.

Shares in Rolls-Royce closed down 0.9% to 601.50p on Thursday.
----------
Euromoney Institutional Investor said Diane Alfano, a board member and divisional director, sold 6,962 shares in the company at 931.00 pence each on Tuesday. Alfano now has a 0.05% stake in Euromoney, equivalent to 68,006 shares, following the transaction, which took place on Tuesday. The share sale was Alfano's second in as many weeks. Alfano sold 3,038 shares in the company at 957.76 pence each on Thursday last week.

That was the same day Euromoney revealed a new board structure, with recently appointed Executive Chairman Andrew Rashbass to become the company's chief executive officer. That news came as the company reported a fall in adjusted pretax profit in its last financial year. The company had previously said that Alfano would not be seeking re-election as an executive director at the company's annual meeting of shareholders in January 2016. Shares in Euromoney closed down 1.2% at 899.00p Thursday.
----------
Water utility United Utilities Group said Business Services Director Sally Cabrini sold shares in the company on Wednesday. Cabrini sold 28,000 shares at 956.1484 pence per share, giving the transaction a total value of GBP267,722. The sale leaves her with a total of 17,693 shares in the company.

On Wednesday, United Utilities said its operating profit was hit by higher costs and a water quality incident in the first half, with revenue broadly flat and its interim dividend pushed up slightly. Shares in the group closed up 1.4% to 966.00p on Thursday.

The shares, which were bought on Tuesday, give Reckitt his first stake in the company since he was appointed as a non-executive director in July. On Monday, Mitie said its pretax profit rose in the first half due to restructuring charges booked a year earlier not repeating, but its headline profit was weaker due to tougher conditions for its healthcare business. Shares in Mitie closed down 0.8% at 303.00p on Thursday.
