EXECUTIVE CHANGES: eve Sleep picks new chair; Sopheon promotes new CEO

Wed, 31st Mar 2021 18:46

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Tuesday and Wednesday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

eve Sleep PLC - London-based direct-to-consumer mattress retailer - Appoints Mike Lloyd as non-executive chair, replacing Paul Pindar. Lloyd is chief operating officer of McCarthy & Stone, a developer of retirement homes that was acquired by private equity back in January. The change in chair will take place at eve Sleep's May 26 annual general meeting. Lloyd holds 1.0 million shares in eve Sleep, a 0.4% stake.

----------

Sopheon PLC - Woking, Surrey-based enterprise innovation management solutions - Promotes Greg Coticchia to board as chief executive officer. Coticchia has been US-based president of Sopheon since October last year, leading its cloud development effort, prior to which he was a consultant for the company. Andy Michuda moves to executive chair, leading partners and acquisitions. Barry Mence, the current chair, moves to non-executive director and remains a major shareholder.

----------

System1 Group PLC - London-based 'advertising effectiveness' agency - John Kearon moves from CEO to founder & executive president. Stefan Barden moves from COO to CEO. Says internal responsibilities are unaffected by the title changes, with Kearon still providing company direction and leading product development and external-facing parts of the business. Barden leads organisation, technical development and operations. Says Barden will remain an executive director instead of a previous plan to move to a purely advisory role.

----------

Segro PLC - London-based property investment and development - Hires Simon Fraser and Linda Yueh as independent non-executive directors, starting Mary 1. Meanwhile, Christopher Fisher will retire from the Segro board on September 30 after nine years. Fraser is senior independent director of property peer Derwent London PLC and of insurer Lancashire Holdings Ltd. As an executive, Fraser was an investment banker with Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Yueh is a non-executive director of pest control firm Rentokil Initial PLC and investment trust Fidelity China Special Situations PLC. She was chief business correspondent for BBC News from 2013 to 2015.

----------

Ground Rents Income Fund PLC - real estate investment trust - Malcolm Naish retires as chair at Wednesday's annual general meeting, having served nine years since the company's initial public offering. Independent Non-Executive Director Barry Gilbertson succeeds Naish as chair.

----------

Dechra Pharmaceuticals PLC - Cheshire-based veterinary products - Hires Denise Goode as non-executive director, starting April 26. Goode is non-executive director of Abliva AB and vice president for Business Development at AnaMar AB, both Swedish companies.

----------

Central Asia Metals PLC - owns Kounrad SX-EW copper project in central Kazakhstan and Sasa zinc-lead mine in North Macedonia - Mike Prentis joins board as independent non-executive director. Prentis is a former fund manager of BlackRock Smaller Companies Trust PLC and BlackRock Throgmorton Trust PLC.

----------

Northbridge Industrial Services PLC - Burton on Trent, England-based firm that hires and sells specialist industrial equipment - Confirms that Chris Caldwell is promoted to board as group director, effective immediately. Caldwell is managing director of Northbridge subsidiary Crestchic Loadbanks. As announced earlier this month, Chief Executive Officer & Founder Eric Hook stepped down from the board on Wednesday after 15 years in post. Chair Peter Harris becomes executive chair, with the directors of Northbridge's two divisions - Caldwell of Crestchic and Ian Gardner of Tasman - reporting to him.

----------

NextEnergy Solar Fund Ltd - invests in operating solar power plants in the UK and Italy - Sue Inglis steps down as director, effective immediately.

----------

Biffa PLC - sustainable waste management, based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire - Hires Claire Miles as non-executive director, starting Thursday. Miles is CEO of digital market services firm Yell.
