(Alliance News) - e-Banking and international payments firm Equals Group PLC on Wednesday said it has signed a new five-year partnership with payment giant Mastercard Inc.
Mastercard will help Equals grow its various card-based businesses, and will also aid Equals in becoming an issuer for all of its cards.
Equals Chief Executive Ian Strafford-Taylor said: "We are delighted to have signed a new long-term deal with Mastercard. We have been a Mastercard-affiliated company for many years but this deal further cements our relationship and the closer ties and improved economics will enable Equals to accelerate its growth prospects in all areas of its business."
Equals shares closed 1.7% lower in London on Wednesday at 98.30 pence each.
