Fri, 26th Mar 2021 11:08

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Friday.

----------

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

----------

BMO Private Equity Trust, up 7.5% at 358 pence, 12-month range 222p-415.6p. The trust says net asset value per share as at December 31 was 486.17p, up from 411.51p year before. 2020 NAV total return 22.7% versus 10.6% in 2019. Declares 2020 total dividend of 16.13p.

----------

TT Electronics, up 6.0% at 247p, 12-month range 141.5p-284.85p. The electronic components manufacturer says MHRA accepts Virolens rapid Covid-19 screening device for sale in Britain. Virolens is a rapid COVID-19 screening device for which TT is the exclusive manufacturing partner. TT Electronics says revenue from Virolens depends on converting interest into firm orders.

----------

Stagecoach Group, up 3.5% at 97.06p, 12-month range 32.28p-101.6p. The transport company says government payments to bus companies should continue for longer than previously expected. Stagecoach expects UK government grants for bus services in England to continue until "mid to late summer 2021". Stagecoach says it expects to continue generating positive operating profit while support remains in place. Peer Go-Ahead was up 3.8%.

----------

Premier Oil, up 4.3% at 35.79p, Hunting, 4.8% at 264.40p, EnQuest, 3.8% at 19.45p. The oil and gas stocks were tracking spot oil prices higher quoted at USD63.20 a barrel Friday morning, up sharply from USD61.61 late Thursday. Oil prices were rallying on a hit to supplies caused by a giant container ship getting stuck in Egypt's Suez Canal for a fourth day, forcing companies to re-route services from the vital shipping lane around Africa. "Investor interest for oil has rebounded in the last few hours, following the news the blockage of the Suez Canal may not have an early resolution," note analysts at ActivTrades.
