Empresaria Group PLC - Crawley, England-based specialist staffing company - Says demand softened and hiring decisions among clients slowed in the second half of 2022, and this has continued into 2023. As a result, Empresaria says net fee income for the four months to April 30 is 5% lower than the year-earlier comparative period. Expects half-year profit to be down "significantly year-on-year against a strong 2022 comparator". Pretax profit was GBP3.3 million in the first half of 2022 on revenue of GBP129.8 million.
Empresaria guides full-year 2023 adjusted pretax profit of about GBP7.0 million. In 2022, adjusted pretax profit was GBP9.0 million on revenue of GBP261.3 million.
Interim results will be announced on August 22.
