IN BRIEF: Atalaya Mining Meets 2020 Copper Production Guidance

Thu, 14th Jan 2021 20:26

Atalaya Mining PLC - Cyprus-based copper producer - Says fourth quarter copper production exceed budget with 14,332 tonnes, up 8.5% on a year ago. Says new annual production record of 55,890 tonnes of copper was achieved in 2020, with year's guidance met.

Cash operating costs for the fourth quarter are expected to be "towards the upper end or slightly above" the 2020 cost guidance owing mainly to the euro strengthening against the US dollar.

For 2021, copper production is expected in a range of 52,000 tonnes to 54,000 tonnes.

"Despite the challenges of Covid-19, Atalaya Mining achieved a new annual production record of 55,890 tonnes of copper in 2020. This record production level was within our 2020 provided guidance and is testament to our growth and ability to deliver value for shareholders," says Chief Executive Alberto Lavandeira.
