Shares in e2v Technologies rose after they went ex-rights this morning. The electronics components manufacturer is raising £34m from a seven-for-nine rights issue at 28p a share. It is also raising £22m from a placing at 70p a share and has renegotiated its banking facilities. The rights issue price was at a large discount to the market price, which had closed at 81p on Friday. That is why some share price services suggest that the share price has fallen by 18.5p but they have not adjusted the ex-rights price. Educational IT services provider RM Group beat media profit estimates in the year to September 2009. The adjusted profit before tax was £17.91m according to broker Daniel Stewart, which forecasts profits of £20.2m in 2009-10. Overseas revenues grew 150% to £41.5m - out of total revenues of £347m. Committed orders stand at £445m and £216m of these are due in the current financial year. That is three-fifths of forecast revenues for the year. The government's better schools initiative is beginning to contribute to revenues. RM has one 14 of the 37 relevant contracts so far awarded. Iain McIntosh will replace Mike Greig when he retires on 31 March 2010. McIntosh was previously finance director of IT consultancy Axon.
