LONDON (Alliance News) - Drinks company Distil PLC on Friday said its current financial year has started well, with sales and volumes higher year-on-year.
The company, which owns the Blackwoods Gin and Vodka and RedLeg Spiced Rum brands, said it has been boosted by the increased exposure of its brands across distribution channels in the UK and overseas.
Its RedLeg brand is performing particularly well in the UK, it said, following promotional activity in supermarkets, and is continuing to increase volumes month-on-month thanks to further listings.
Blavod Black Vodka is now being shipped to the US market for the first time since 2012, Distil said, while its Blackwoods brands are performing well in both the UK and US markets.
The group has also started marketing its Diva super-premium vodka brand in the UK and is confident that high-end retailers will respond well to the product.
