Dialight Share News (DIA)

Shares in logistics software supplier Kewill rose even though it is raising £7.5m from share placing at 92p a share. After costs Kewill will be left with £7.2m which it intends to use to finance acquisitions and strengthen its balance sheet. Kewill reported an 11% increase in revenues to £27.2m in the six months to September 2009. Pre-amortisation profits rose from £2.68m to £3.47m. Currency movements flattered the figures but there was a still a 6% increase in adjusted profits in constant currency terms. There were strong performances in Europe and Asia but US revenues fell 8%. KBC Peel Hunt forecasts full year profits of £8.2m in the year to March 2009, compared with £7m in 2008-09. The broker has increased its target price from 85p to 120p a share. Light emitting diodes technology developer Dialight is one of the top risers for a second day running. The company has signed a deal with a US telecom tower operator, which will use Dialight's LED technology for all its new towers and repairs. The deal continues until at least the end of 2010.There is an opportunity to win more contracts like this. The shares are trading on more than 25 times forecast earnings for 2009. The shares yield 2.9%.
