ALGIERS, Sept 30 (Reuters) - Algeria awarded four of 31 oiland gas field blocks on offer in an auction on Tuesday with allfour won by foreign consortiums, officials said.
Royal Dutch Shell and Spain's Repsol wonthe Boughezoul area in the north of the country while Shell andNorway's Statoil won the Timissit area in the east. The Turkmenistan based firm said its average gross oil production rate had risen by 25% from 73,440 barrels per day to 92,060 bpd, while gross production for the month of June was 98,890 bpd.
