LONDON (Alliance News) - CareTech Holdings PLC on Wednesday said it has appointed Interim Finance Director Gareth Dufton to its board.
Dufton became interim finance chief in December following the death of Michael Hill.
Dufton is a former partner of accountancy firm Moore Stephens LLP and has been involved with social care provider CareTech since 2000.
Executive Chairman Farouq Sheikh said: "We are fortunate to have in Gareth an experienced accountant with a deep understanding of our business, its systems and people and is able to step in following the tragic death of Michael Hill.
"We are grateful to Gareth for supporting the business at this crucial stage."
CareTech also confirmed it still plans to make two non-executive appointments. Despite the process taking longer than hoped, it is "pleased" with the quality of candidates it has met.
Shares were up 1.5% on Wednesday at a price of 350.00 pence each.
