Canadian Overseas Petroleum Ltd - oil and gas exploration and development company focused on sub-Sahara Africa - Says its 50% owned joint venture company Shoreline Canadian Overseas Petroleum Development Corp and Mauritian Essar Exploration & Production Ltd have agreed to extend the backstop date to July 20. The backstop concerns a dispute with their respective obligations under the Essar Exploration and Production Ltd shareholders agreement.
