Coms, which provides internet telephony services to businesses and other organisations, narrowed losses in the half year to 31 July as revenues jumped and cost cutting measures took effect.It posted a pre-tax loss of £219,000 for the period, against a £360,000 deficit in the same period the previous year. Revenues grew to £2m from £1.5m.'Coms implemented a number of cost saving measures during the period including consolidating the products lines offered to customers, and will continue to identify and implement other cost saving measures as appropriate,' the company said.Coms, which provides services that allow users to make calls over the internet, said it benefitted from its ability to help customers reduce call costs. It expects to benefit from public sector cost cuts as cost cutting measures are implemented.
