Cenkos Securities, the AIM-listed broker focused on UK small and mid-cap companies, said that trading in the first half of 2014 has been stronger than previously expected.In a short statement on Monday, the company said that interim revenues and profits for the six months to June 30th are expected to be ahead of the results for the whole of 2013.As such, it predicts that interim results will be "significantly higher than market expectations for the current year". Cenkos reported a pre-tax profit of £10.7m in 2013, up 53% year-on-year, on revenues that rose 19% to £51.4m.BC
