CT Global Managed Portfolio Trust PLC - Investor in investment companies offering Growth or Income shares - Net asset value for both growth and income shares fall and underperform against benchmark, which is the FTSE All-Share Index for both types of shares.
Income shares as at November 30 fall 8.3% to 122.52 pence each from 133.67p at May 31. For the six months to November 30, NAV total return is negative 5.4% after a positive 2.9% impact of a dividend reinvestment, underperforming against its benchmark, which returns positive 0.3%.
Growth shares at November 30 decrease 3.7% to 235.42p from 244.41p at May 31. For the half-year to November 30, NAV total return is negative 3.7% compared to the benchmark's total return of positive 0.3%.
Looking ahead, CT Global says it possible that inflation in US has peaked, while it could have peaked in Europe or might peak there in the first quarter of 2023. However, CT Global cautioned of the "danger of overshoot" by the US Federal Reserve. The company says prospects for recovery in performance are good.
