Wed, 23rd May 2018 16:31

LONDON (Alliance News) - The UK Oil and Gas Authority awarded 10 licences to Cluff Natural Resources PLC, three licences to IOG North Sea Ltd and three to Reabold Resources PLC in the 30th UKCS licensing round.

Cluff Natural said on Wednesday it has been provisionally awarded 10 licences, covering full and part blocks, with 7 in the southern north sea and two in the central north sea.

On the same day, Independent Oil and Gas PLC said its wholly-owned subsidiary IOG North Sea Ltd was awarded all three licences it had applied for.

"We are delighted that the OGA has offered IOG these blocks which contain at least three additional gas discoveries to be developed in line with our Southern North Sea gas hub strategy," Independent Oil and Gas Chief Executive Officer Andrew Hockey said.

Reabold Resources said Coriallian Energy Ltd, in which the company has a 33% stake, has been awarded three Central Graben part-blocks licences.

Cluff Natural shares were trading up 8.6% at 2.58 pence, Independent Oil and Gas were up 8.7% at 21.90p. Reabold shares were up 13.3% at 0.79p.
