Georgia Capital PLC - Tbilisi, Georgia-based investor in businesses in Georgia - Georgia Healthcare Group and its wholly owned subsidiary JSC Evex Hospitals sign a USD35 million, five-year financing package with European Bank for Reconstruction & Development. Says Georgia Healthcare has signed a USD25 million loan agreement, which includes two tranches of USD10 million and USD15 million. Says Evex has signed a USD10 million tranche, which will allow it to upgrade 15 hospitals and purchase medical equipment. It will also partly refinance recently matured private local bonds.

Total portfolio value falls 25% to GEL2.71 billion from GEL3.62 billion. The value fall is pinned on Russia's invasion of Ukraine, with Georgia Capital's private portfolio suffering, as well as a GEL317.5 million hit to London-listed Bank of Georgia Group PLC's valuation. BoG's shares slumped 21% in the first 6 months of 2022. The bank makes up 17% of firm's total portfolio.

Georgia Capital PLC - Tbilisi-based investor in businesses in Georgia - Net asset value per share at the end of 2021 stands at GEL63.03, about GBP15.44, up 5.5% from GEL59.77 at the end of the third quarter and up 31% from GEL48.12 a year before. Total NAV is GEL2.88 billion, about GBP706.5 million. Net income totals GEL128.2 million in the fourth quarter of 2021, down 73% from GEL475.3 million a year before, but for all of 2021, net income is GEL681.4 million, more than doubled from GEL308.5 million in 2020. Georgia Capital says the key recent event was the sale of an 80% stake in waterworks Georgia Global Utilities JSC to Spain's FCC Aqualia for USD180 million, a 30% premium to the stake's assessed value back in June of last year.
