Capital Ltd - mining services company - Provides update on its investment holding in Allied Gold Corp Ltd. Notes Allied Gold - in which Capital has a 1.55% interest - recently announced plans for a public listing in North America and the expansion of its executive team. Points out at the end of 2022, unlisted investments accounted for USD8.3 million out of its total portfolio of USD38.7 million, with Allied Gold making up the majority of the unlisted portion.

Braveheart Investment Group PLC - Barnsley, South Yorkshire-based investor in small- and medium-sized businesses - Provides update on two companies within its investment portfolio, Paraytec Ltd and Kirkstall Ltd. Notes Paraytec - 100% owned - is progressing with a clinical study to develop rapid tests for identifying cancer and pathogens, including viruses. Says initial results to compare performance of Paraytec's CX300 instrument with PCR tests indicate up to 100% correlation with patients who tested positive by PCR. The independent clinical statistical analysis and report is expected to be completed in June, at which time a further update will be provided. Further, says on May 2, the CX300 instrument passed independent testing for CE marking, which certifies its compliance with required safety standards for a laboratory use instrument. At Kirkstall - 80% owned - states newly developed QV1200 product was launched in February and has already attracted strong interest from actual and potential academic and commercial customers.

EKF Diagnostics Holdings PLC - Cardiff-based diagnostics and central laboratory assay maker - Announces that its Life Sciences division's enzyme fermentation sites in Indiana have successfully completed their ISO 9001: 2015 and ISO 13485: 2016 quality management audits. As a result, company remains on track to have all new fermentation capacity in South Bend installed and validated towards the end of the third quarter. Adds other fermenters are on track to be operational and revenue generating over the summer.

SRT Marine Systems PLC - Somerset, England-based provider of maritime domain awareness systems and technologies for surveillance, security, safety and environmental protection - Advises the completion and sign-off of Phase 1 of a national coast guard maritime surveillance system contract announced in January 2022, to deliver an SRT-MDA System. Says the first phase of the project was completed in March, and the contract now moves on to the next two phases which are expected to be implemented in parallel over approximately one year. Notes contract is worth GBP40 million in total.

Chaarat Gold Holdings Ltd - gold mining company with assets in Armenia and Kyrgyzstan - Announces production and operational results for the quarter ended March 31 for its Kapan Mine in Armenia. Reports gold equivalent ounces in concentrate consisted of 12,371 thousand ounces from own ore compared to 12,164 thousand ounces the year before. Notes all-in-sustaining cash cost for own ore production of USD 1,397 per ounce was up from last year's USD1,352 per ounce, mainly due to the adverse impacts from the US dollar and Armenian dram foreign exchange rate. Adds preliminary unaudited standalone Kapan EBITDA contribution was USD3.2 million more than halved from USD7.6 million a year prior. Holds Kapan Mine production guidance at 50,000 ounces to 55,000 ounces of own-ore production and additional 5,000 to 10,000 ounces of third-party ore production. Continues to look at ways of offsetting cost pressures.

Prospex Energy PLC - Europe-focused gas and power projects investment company - Announces that the development of the photovoltaic hybridisation solar project at the El Romeral power plant, known as "Project Helios", which would increase output from the plant by up to 60%, is progressing well ahead of the final investment decision, which is scheduled for consideration in June.
