This past Wednesday, Worldpay announced that Jansen will step down at the end of 2018, and the company will move to a single CEO structure led by Executive Chairman and current co-CEO Charles Drucker. Meanwhile, BT had announced in June that Patterson would step down later in 2018 one a replacement was appointed.
Sky cited sources saying that Jansen had not yet formally agreed to accept the role but suggesting that he was expected to do so, with an announcement within the next month.
"It's his job to turn down," Sky quoted one person close to the search process, which is being run by MWM Consulting, the boardroom headhunter.
