DQ Entertainment and its affiliates are to work on developing an animated TV series based on Lassie, the collie dog character first featured in a film in 1943.DQ's partners include Classic Media, the owner of the Lassie brand, plus DQ Entertainment's affiliate in France and Ireland, M6/France, and ZDF/Germany.Construction support services group Mountfield announced a profit before tax of £1.36m in its first set of results as a public company.Profit before tax rose 14.2% in 2008 from £1.19m a year earlier, on revenue that rose from £11.39m to £17.44m.Shares in Ariana Resources jumped after the Turkey-focused gold firm announced its first production of the precious metal from the Sindirgi project in the country's Marmara region.It wasn't the only gold miner to announce first production. Centamin Egypt poured its first gold from the Sukari gold project in Egypt's Eastern Desert on Friday, the company said today.Lapp Plats, the Sweden-focused platinum firm that is to be renamed Cove Energy as it becomes an oil and gas explorer focused on Africa, has announced a placing to raise £4.2m to fund its new strategy.Technology commercialisation and investment management company Braveheart Investment Group has contributed towards a £1m funding round for Scottish technology company Pyreos. It is Braveheart's second investment in Pyreos, which was created to exploit technology and intellectual property acquired from Siemens AG. "Pyreos has made good progress since our initial funding in 2007 and this follow on investment will allow them to take the next important steps towards commercialisation," said Bravheart's chief executive, Geoffrey Thomson.Trading in the shares of Inveresk has been suspended because the directors of the paper maker are unable to sign off the company's accounts until its legal dispute with Tulius Russell Papermakers is resolved.Terrace Hill bounced off four-month lows Monday after the property developer and investment group secured lettings for properties in London and on Teesside.Associated Foreign Exchange Inc will take the entire fifth floor of Terrace's 129 Wilton Road office development in SW1, while a pre-let with the Middlesbrough Primary Care Trust has been secured in its Manhattan Gate project on Teesside. "Despite the very difficult trading conditions experienced by our client market in the UK, the combination of our UK, French and Spanish products have enabled us continue to write a profitable book of business," said the group.Cash shell Amberley Group has requested its shares be temporarily suspended from trading on AIM until its preliminary results are released. The group said it would not be able to publish its annual audited accounts for the year ended 31 December 2008.US wine specialist Cosentino Wines also said it is requesting a suspension of its shares as it will be unable to publish its final results due to ongoing refinancing discussions. The group also said whilst there has been some limited improvement in its core wholesale business, the current average monthly sales are at the low end of expectations.
