(Sharecast News) - The market spotlight on Tuesday will shift towards the US, with a barrage of economic and corporate reports scheduled for release.
Among the former, readings on retail sales and industrial production are due out at 1330 BST, alongside quarterly earnings reports from JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and Netflix.
Also scheduled for throughout the day are speeches from various top Federal Reserve officials, including chairman Jerome Powell himself at 1800 BST, from Paris.
In the UK, the May employment report is set for release at 0930 BST.
And across the Channel, at 1000 BST, the ZEW institute will release its economic confidence index for Germany referencing the month of July.
In the UK corporate arena and for Burberry's first quarter trading update, analysts at Deutsche Bank anticipate comparable sales growth of 2%, helped by a gradual ramp-up of the Tisci's collection over the quarter, with strength in the UK but weakness across the Pond.
Analyst Francesa DiPasquantonio was also anticipating 2% like-for-like growth in Asia Pacific, impacted a bit by the protests in Hong Kong.
She was expecting the fashion giant to reiterate its full-year guidance.

Burberry shares hit lowest since 2020, luxury stocks sag
LONDON, Jan 12 (Reuters) - Shares in British luxury group Burberry fell as much as 14% in early trade on Friday after the company downgraded its guidance, citing a slowdown in luxury demand.
