HOUSTON, April 11 (Reuters) - April-delivery CARBOB gasolinerose 2 cents to be priced at 10 cents a gallon over May NYMEXRBOB gasoline in the Los Angeles spot market on Thursday due towork at two California refineries, traders said.
BP Plc's 240,000 barrel-per-day (bpd) LosAngeles-area refinery in Carson, California, warned on Thursdayof planned flaring through April 22, extending out work that hasbeen underway since early March.
Phillips 66's 120,200 bpd Rodeo, California,refinery reported an unplanned unit shutdown in a notice filedon Wednesday with California pollution regulators, who releasedthe filing to the public on Thursday.
In the San Francisco Bay market, April CARBOB remained at a4-cent premium over the price in L.A.
Gasoline in the Portland, Oregon market rose 1 cent to 6cents a gallon over May NYMEX RBOB.
April CARB diesel retreated 1.5 cents in L.A. to finish at3.5 cents a gallon over May NYMEX heating oil.
In the Bay market, April CARB diesel leaped 6.5 cents to 15cents a gallon over May NYMEX heating oil, due to the Phillipsmalfunction.
Diesel in the Portland market, was unchanged at 11 cents agallon over May NYMEX heating oil.
