HOUSTON, Jan 24 (Reuters) - The smallest crude distillationunit at BP Plc's 337,000 barrels-per-day (bpd) refineryin Whiting, Indiana, had been restarted on Thursday after abrief shutdown because of cold weather in the region, accordingto sources familiar with refinery operations.
The 70,000 bpd CDU was operating normally on Thursday, thesources said.
A BP spokesman declined comment on the outage.
The refinery's largest CDU is in the middle of an overhaulas part of a $4 billion project to enable the refinery toprocess more heavy Canadian crude oil.
