Sept 2 (Reuters) - BP PLC on Thursday said production
would remain shut-in at its Gulf of Mexico platforms until
further safety assessments are made in the wake of Hurricane
Ida.
"In the interim, we will temporarily relocate our shore base
and heliport to other locations," BP said in a statement https://www.bp.com/en_us/united-states/home/news/storm-center.html,
noting that damage was sustained to onshore assets at both its
Houma and Port Fourchon facilities that will require repairs.
"No obvious major damage has been observed and midstream and
downstream assets are in various stages of start-up and await
facility inspections and power restoration," the company added.
