HOUSTON, Oct 2 (Reuters) - BP Plc/s joint-venture135,000 barrels-per-day (bpd) refinery in Toledo, Ohio, wasrestarting sulfur recovery units on Wednesday that had been shutsince early last week, according to sources familiar withoperations at the refinery.
Production at the plant was cut to reduce sulfur pollutionfrom the refinery during the shutdown. A sulfur recovery unitremoves sulfur from hydrogen sulfide extracted from motor fuelsand their feedstocks in compliance with U.S environmentalregulations.
The Toledo refinery is a joint venture of BP and HuskyEnergy Inc. (Reporting By Kristen Hays)
