LONDON (Alliance News) - UBS said that it has appointed Ros Stephenson as Global Chairman of Corporate Client Solutions or CCS and the Head of CCS Americas. Ros will join as a Group Managing Director and report to Andrea Orcel, CEO of UBS Investment Bank.
Ros will be based in New York and be a member of the firm's Investment Bank Executive Committee and Americas Executive Committee, effective September 2014. She joins UBS from Barclays where she most recently served as Chairman of the Investment Banking Division. During her tenure, Ros was also co-head of Corporate Finance and M&A from 2008 to 2013. She began her career with Lehman Brothers where she was a founder of the firm's Financial Sponsors Group, which she led for 10 years.
In her role as Chairman, Ros will help drive UBS's global investment bank capabilities, and in her Americas role, she will be responsible for all client coverage, advisory, financing origination and the financing solutions businesses, UBS said.
Steve Cummings will assume the role of Chairman of CCS Americas.
