Dow Jones industrial average futures were down0.41 percent at 17,793, S&P 500 futures were down 0.51percent at 2,103.75 and Nasdaq 100 futures were down 1.43percent at 4,599.75.

** APPLE INC, Tuesday close $130.75, -7.18 pctpremarket

The company's fourth-quarter revenue forecast fell short ofestimates and it missed some targets for iPhone sales. Theforecast overshadowed Apple's strong sales in China, which morethan doubled to $13.23 billion from a year earlier.

** INTUITIVE SURGICAL INC, Tuesday close$505.09, +13.14 pct premarket

The Robotic surgical equipment maker reported abetter-than-expected quarterly profit and forecast surgicalprocedures to grow 11 to 13 percent this year, sending itsshares up 13 percent.

** BIOGEN, Tuesday close $409.5, -5.09 pctpremarket

A 6 mg dose of the drugmaker's experimental Alzheimer'sdisease drug significantly reduced beta amyloid plaque in thebrain but failed to significantly slow mental decline,potentially tempering great enthusiasm that greeted data on twoother doses of the treatment earlier this year.

** MICROSOFT CORP, Tuesday close $47.28, -3.34 pctpremarket

The company reported a $3.2 billion quarterly net loss, itsbiggest ever, as the company wrote down its Nokia phone businessand demand fell for its Windows operating system. The companytook a charge of $7.5 billion in the fourth quarter related tothe restructuring of its Nokia handset business, which it boughtlast year.

** YAHOO INC, Tuesday close $39.73, -2.47 pctpremarket

The company forecast lower-than-expected revenue for thecurrent quarter as it struggles to revive its core onlineadvertising business and spends more to attract users to itswebsites.

** CHIPOTLE MEXICAN GRILL INC, Tuesday close$673.07, +2.31 pct premarket

The Burrito chain reported lower-than-expected quarterlyrevenue as the removal of pork products from some of itsrestaurants hurt sales for the second straight quarter. Profitbeat estimates.

** BOEING CO, Tuesday close $145, +2.00 pct premarket

The company reported a 33 percent fall in quarterly profit,hurt by a big charge related to its military tanker program, andcut its 2015 earnings forecast.

** THORATEC CORP, Tuesday close $57.58, +9.38 pctpremarket

** ST JUDE MEDICAL INC, Tuesday close $76.71, -2.24pct premarket

Medical device maker St Jude Medical agreed to buy smallerrival Thoratec Corp for about $3.4 billion to expand itsportfolio of heart failure devices.

** AUTONATION, Tuesday close $64.72, -1.16 pctpremarket

The largest U.S. auto retailer, reported a 15 percent risein quarterly profit as an improving economy and low oil pricesboosted vehicle sales.

** BALLARD POWER SYSTEMS INC, Tuesday close$1.51, +4.64 pct premarket

The Canadian fuel-cell product maker to provide 1 MWClearGen fuel cell distributed generation system for Hydrogenede France. The company said system to be deployed at Akzo NobelNV's AKZO.AS sodium chlorate chemical plant in BordeauxMetropole, France.

** GOPRO INC, Tuesday close $62.04, +2.27 pctpremarket

Action camera maker reported a better-than-expectedquarterly profit and forecast current-quarter revenue abovemarket estimates, helped by strong sales in Asia.

** ASTRAZENECA PLC, Tuesday close $67.64, -0.99 pctpremarket

The company's much anticipated cancer drug pipelinesuffered a modest blow on Wednesday when the experimental drugselumetinib failed to meet its goal in a late-stage trial for arare cancer of the eye.

** BHP BILLITON, Tuesday close $39.68, -3.55 pctpremarket

The company beat its own productionguidance for iron ore in fiscal 2015 and said it was on trackfor additional growth in the current year following majorexpansion work.

** PEABODY ENERGY CORP, Tuesday close $1.2, -1.67pct premarket

Analysts at J.P. Morgan Securities downgraded the coalminer's stock to "neutral" from "overweight", saying stock hascome under "extreme pressure" from short-sellers.
