LONDON (Alliance News) - Alexander Mining PLC Tuesday said it has been awarded three patents covering some of the processing methods it uses.
Alexander Mining is a mineral processing technology company that patents and protects technology before commercialising them to be used in the mining industry.
On Tuesday, the company said it has been awarded three patents covering different processes, metals and geographies.
"We are delighted that we continue to be granted important patents covering a range of metals in countries of interest," said Chief Executive Martin Rosser.
The first patent covers the company's method of oxidative leaching of sulfide ores and/or concentrates of any metal, covering Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia.
The second patent covers the company;s method of oxidative leaching of molybdenum and/or rhenium sulfide ores and/or concentrate, covering the US.
The third and last patent covers the company's method of leaching cobalt from oxidised cobalt ores, covering France.
Alexander shares were down 6.7% to 0.350 pence per share on Tuesday morning.
