Atome Energy PLC - Leeds, England-based green hydrogen, ammonia, and fertiliser project development in Paraguay, Iceland, and Central America - Launches effort to find financing for the first phase of its Villeta green fertiliser project in Paraguay. Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking issues an information pack and opens a virtual data room for the project finance requirement. Says a carbon footprint analysis by a third party indicates the Villeta project will displace about 500,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent per year, potentially generating a total of 12 million carbon credits over the project's 25-year lifetime.

IN BRIEF: Atome Energy annual loss widens; expects 1st revenue in 2023

Atome Energy PLC - Leeds, England-based producer and marketer of green hydrogen and ammonia - Reports pretax loss of USD5.6 million in 2022, widened from USD2.2 million in 2021. The company says the annual loss is in line with its expectations and reflects the increased level of activity and fast-track development throughout its portfolio. Total value of assets drops to USD6.6 million as of December 31 - split almost equally between cash and segment assets - from USD8.3 million a year before. ATOME says that its hydrogen transport Mobility Division is expected to start generating revenue this year.
